Hubbard 221 is part of a two-building Planned Development located at the intersection of Hubbard and Wells in Chicago’s River North Neighborhood. Hubbard 221 is a 23-story rental residential tower containing 193 dwelling units, parking for 91 cars and 6000 sf of retail on the ground floor. Designed as a Planned Development, a new CTA Remediation Bonus was established with the assistance of the Alderman and the CTA to allow a density bonus to help pay for paint remediation of the tracks. The design of the residential building is very glassy and modern with the parking floors clad in perforated metal panels that clear-span between floors creating a curtain-like effect. The design of the units with high-end finishes and appliance and floor-to-ceiling glass, the lobby and the 21st floor amenity spaces with a first-class fitness center, business center, kitchen area and pool deck with gazebos, makes this one of the most luxurious rental buildings in Chicago.
